Artuk Bey aka Ayberk Pekcan of famous Ertugrul drama dies aged 51

Ayberk Pekcan had played the role of Artuk Bey in the famous historical drama DİRİLİŞ ERTUĞRUL.
Pekan’s final rites will be performed on Tuesday in his hometown of Mersin.
The director and producer of the drama Ertugrul, Mehmet Bozdag, and fellow artists paid tribute to the deceased.
A 51-year-old actor disclosed his illness on social media a few months ago.
“Dear friends… The process that started with the doctor I went to with a complaint of back pain has come to this point today. I have lung cancer. The tumor has also spread to the liver and adrenal glands. Unfortunately, this disease did not show any symptoms in its initial stages. The first day of chemotherapy… My biggest support is my family. So are my friends nearby… I will do my best to regain my health. Keep your health wishes and prayers with you. Stay well,” he wrote.

It may be recalled that Ayberk Pekcan had visited Pakistan along with other drama artists a few months back.
He won several national and international awards in 2010 for his performance in the feature film Hair.
